Classic Cafes - Adrian Maddox

Christian recomended I looked at the book Classic Cafes. It took a while to get hold of as the libary didn't have it in, but Im glad I eventually got to see it.
As the blurb of the book reads:

'Classic Cafes is the first ever study of the vintage Bristish working mans Formica caff... often dismissed as 'greasy spoons', classic cafes are actually little gems of British vernacular high street design'

The photographs are beautifully taken, and similar to Tilson and Parr and Davies, they capture the feel of the cafe by the use of composition, lighting and even down to what kind of camera has been used. The design and layout of the book consists of text and photographs, which are very well utilised within the space. There are many aspects of this book that I can refer to and use within my own book, such as the style of the photographs and design layout.
